Andy Clover graphic design, creative services & art promotion

About:
I manage a small creative studio overseeing a diverse range of commercial and artistic projects. Whilst the core of my business is graphic design and creative direction for print media, I also collaborate to design web and motion graphics, and have produced museum and art exhibition displays, signage and publications for local and international clients.

Please contact me to enquire about my graphic design services. Where necessary I work with other expert designers, web developers, photographers and illustrators to ensure a broad base of expertise and quality results.

Below are some samples of recent work. Click this link to download some older samples of my work (1.5Mb pdf).

Client: Nelson City Council / Nelson Tasman Tourism
The brief was to design a brand promoting Nelson's involvement in 2011 Rugby World Cup festivities. I used Nelson's unique claim as the location of the first game of rugby played in New Zealand, and combined it with the colours and uniform style of the original players to create a bold icon in the shape of the number one - the first game.

Client: Kaimira Ventures Ltd
This iconic Nelson / Brightwater vineyard needed their brand and wine labels refreshed to accurately reflect their premium position in a crowded market. I produced a range of concepts for them, exploring different routes they could go down to promote the strengths of their carbon neutral brand. Look out for the new labels instore.

Client: 7 Design Secrets
As proud and passionate supporters of the Nelson Giants, 7DS created their current brand and manage the Giants' brand and print design as a sponsor. To promote this fact, I designed these 2m high banners to hang in the Trafalgar centre - the Giants' home fortress.

Client: Monkey Wizard Brewery
Identity, business card, label design, signage, clothing, advertising.
This client wanted a unique identity based on old world imagery and allusions to alchemy which was brought to life with illustration by Dean Raybould.

Client: Tima Consulting Limited

Identity, positioning, business stationery and company profile brochure.

Client: Be Still (for Keeley Racing Limited).
Identity, profile, clothing, race car graphics. Nicknamed the ‘Smiling Assassin’, Keely is an up and coming race driver. His branding references the danger markings of insects and wild animals to intimidate his competitors.
