Culturally Routed combined contemporary and traditional artforms to explore the themes of cultural migration, settlement and belonging. The exhibition ran from 19 October to 16 November 2007 and was commissioned to celebrate the official relaunch of the Refinery Artspace after major renovations.

18 artists of 12 differenent ethnic or national origins exhibited 35 pieces. They were Adi Tait, Andrew Brydon, Anna Leary, Caroline Earley, Catharine Hodson, Daniel Allen, Daniel Campion, Duncan Leask, Jeanette Scharing, Mai Te Wae-iti, Marci Tackett, Meg Nakagawa, Mica Still, Michael Rob, Ratna Banerjee, Pam Berard, Shane Paratene and Soe Aung.
